Coretechs History

A graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, owner of Coretech Systems John Blanks started his career designing disc drives for what was to eventually become Seagate Technologies. In 1998, Chief Operating Officer of Six Flags, Inc. Gary Story asked him to assume the role of Director of Management Information Systems for Six Flags, Inc. based on the software development he had completed for Frontier City theme park in Oklahoma City. During his 9 year tenure with Six Flags, he led the development of a new suite of applications for Six Flags including cash control, season pass, group sales, access control, and seasonal HR software.

In 2008, John started his own theme and waterpark software development company Coretech Systems. He began by developing Money Bags, our cash control system since expanded and still in use today, for Clementon Park and Alabama Adventures. In 2011, Coretech Systems and amusement industry clients became his sole focus as he was asked to provide extensive systems for Premier Parks, LLC. Now Coretech Systems has software solutions implemented at attractions across the country.
